WEB INTERVIEW

Interview Set-up.

For this piece of research I got in contact with a Website Designer working in London and asked him if I could do a quick interview with him about his line of work. Before the interview, whilst chatting to the designer, I found out that he was actually working freelance for a band at the time of this interview, so I made sure to ask him questions relating to this.

One issue I had when recording is that I only had access to one camera. This meant that I had to film the interviews in two seperate parts, one capturing the questions and one capturing the answers. Also the audio from the camera wasn't great so I set up an overhead microphone and connected it through a mixing desk to a recording software (Logic Pro X).

Key things I learnt.

A band website needs to act as a hub for social media, gigs and their music. The main function of the website is the gain recognition.

The process of making a website is to start with a wireframe. Then create a high resolution mockup before building the website using a script editor and then finally reviewing/refining.

The key things to remember are to have easy navigation, to use eye catching photography and to make sure it is responsive so that it looks great on all devices.
